Tested the java app, it appeared to connect correctly, so I don't know what's up for you.

DNS resolved correctly for you but not for him meaning that your ISP's DNS cache is correct while his isn't.

Hi everyone, I'm trying to connect through IRC and I can access the gbatemp main channel, the problem comes when I try to access the tempcast channel it says this:

This channel requires that you have registered and identified yourself with the network's nickname registration services (e.g. NickServ). Please see the documentation of this network's nickname registration services that should be found in the MOTD (/motd to display it).

I have been to IRC before but I have never encountered something like that, can somebody help, please?

Looks like I'll probably have to listen to the Tempcast at some point afterwards...whether I'll use ClIRC later I don't know.

Err, yes, to quote myself from the shoutbox because I'm too lazy to type it all out again:

I totally want to make a super secret Tempcast appearance but the IRC server is totally making me register a full nick with nickserv and that's totally a hassle and an inconvenience and this thing totally starts in 30 minutes, also, locking out people that want to be in IRC for the livechat is totally not a kewl or intelligent thing to do to your loyal fanbase. TOTALLY.

Yea, I understand the security risks, what with people like jdbye running around like idiots, but for the love of shit, open the channel to the public. You're shootin' yourself in the foot with this 'cast, turning away a handful of concerned listeners and SoulAnger could really use those listeners, eh?

He has a nice nice OS coming out that I'm pretty sure a lot of members on this site have questions in regards to...

i missed at least half of the tempcast... damn. i got a question left: as the flashcard has to support direct access from software as menudo will boot games using the flashcards api(or whatever it really is), its obviously not supported by all cards. which cards do work? i hope cyclodsevo (hw 1.0) is one of those
