As much as I wish they were down permanently, this is probably correct.

Last time, it seemed from whois that Nintendo seized the domain. This time it looks like run of the mill server issues.

Last domain never got siezed, few months ago when they were down they simply moved to another host.

If you look at their old host names that have expired you can buy them.
