Hacking System folder for downloaded firmware updates?

I just received a message that an system update was ready (although I'm on CFW 6.2.0 already).
Does anybody know where the Switch stores updates before they get installed?

No, but to clear downloaded updates, all you should have to do is to go into safe mode and back out

not sure where its stored myself but according to this about updating with ChoiDujourNX it says

Copy the SYSTEM:/Contents folder from a Switch that has a "System update is pending" notification. This will let you pick either the currently running firmware, or the pending firmware to install.

So while I imagine it's not that folder directly, like a folder in that one

Let me have a look at that.

It was really weird being on 6.2.0 and still the Switch telling me it was ready to update the firmware.
Even the settings menu did only show that an update was ready, instead of the usual firmware version number.

After going to the recovery mode and booting back into CFW, the firmware update message was gone.
