First off, I want to confirm. My system file is not missing. I just re-installed AKAIO 1.8.9z.
My Acekard says the file is missing anyway. I can't think of any reason for this at all, I had just put a "Black and White 2" ROM on it.
I know it's fake now.. But I can't start my AK2i and it's bugging me. Any ideas?

Format the Micro SD Card and put AKAIO on it again. If it still doesn't work, make sure the Micro SD Card works by testing it in whatever else. If it works in whatever else but not in the card, try an older version of AKAIO. If that still doesn't work, try a different Micro SD Card. And if that doesn't work, then the Micro SD Cards aren't making contact with the card in which case you'd either have to buy a new one or...figure something else out.

Usually it's a matter of dirty contacts or the file system going wacko - a format and some cleaning does the job, unless you clearly hear that the slot in the Acekard has broken due to wear-and-tear.

It would probably also be nice if you removed the info suggesting that the ROM I made was at fault. It's not malware, your SD/AKAIO just got corrupted.

are you using haxchi, tiramisu or aroma?
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
no, I'm asking which one of them you are using
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    so like it doesnt exist
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
    ?
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
it doesn't exist, at least not for aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    ohhhhh
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
on tiramisu you can access it by opening mii maker
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    okay
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
but homebrew is appearing in the home menu btw
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
    yes, now I remember it
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
then it is working, I also don't like that they did this but it is the only option you have if you are using aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
