Any help is greatly appreciated. This is my first modded Wii system.
For context my gamecube games are set up on a hdd, a WD passport 1tb with y link. Sleep mode is disabled on hdd. Games are on first partition as per the nintendont github instructions with the file format as games/game title [Game ID]/ game.iso

At random points during playing a given game I get the black screen with "An error has occurred.."

Here is my SysCheck:

your syscheck report is correct.

Do you have the latest Nintendont version?

maybe a bad rip of the game (corrupted)?

NTSC game?

is the cable from the external hard drive plugged into port 0 of the wii (right usb port, seen from the back)?

Hey thank you for taking a look!

I updated Nintendont a few days ago, so I don't believe that is the culprit.

The game itself is a verified rip of an nkit iso that I converted to iso. Maybe that could be the issue.

I'm starting to think it has something to do with my hdd. Even though I disabled sleep it definitely has moments of spin down. Do you have any reliable hdd recommendations?

Does everyone experience intermittent game crashes? It even happens on usbloadergx for wii games. Maybe I bought a bad Wii...
