Homebrew Homebrew app sys-patch - sysmod that patches on boot

But where those verions come from? I want to asure those are also official.
When I try to update DBI directly from the app it doesn't find anything above v878 :(

the re-released version 1.6.1 fixes sys-patch always patching an offset, even though it may have been patched by files or embedded patches (patches.ini / .ips patches, etc)
Thanks for the detail, but what is the actual outcome if NOT using this latest version? What can go wrong in practice? What would a program or game do?

adds ability to target more results than first one, if patterns has more than one result.

adds a patch to NS that forces a 0 to GetGameCardCompatibilityType (https://switchbrew.org/wiki/Filesystem_services#GetGameCardCompatibilityType) whenever NS calls for it, so that users who own chinese region ("terra") gamecards can launch their cards while running global firmware version of HorizonOS (i.e. any firmware above CHN 19.0.2)
also added another decimal so that minor patches can be put out that aren't "worth" updating to.

1.6.1 -> 1.6.2.0

future minor versions will then be 1.6.2.1 unless a pattern update is required for future version (desired update for end users) -> 1.6.3.0

for context purposes, this is considered a less desired update, unless you are an user with chinese game cartridges that you want to run.

Hi, I have the latest sys-patch installed but the Virtual Boy app refuses to boot. It crashes with "the software was closed because an error occurred". Every other game and app installs and plays fine. What could be the problem?

try reinstalling Virtual Boy app.
if still not working, install the base game, then the update.
if still not working, you have bad files, find other files.

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to diagnose an issue on my modded Switch and I'm running out of ideas.

Current setup

 • Nintendo Switch V1 (patched)
 • Firmware: 22.0.0
 • Atmosphère: 1.11.1
 • Hekate bootloader
 • Booting through CFW (EMUMMC)
 • EMUMMC is enabled and working correctly
 • Hekate configuration uses: [CFW (EMUMMC)]
pkg3=atmosphere/package3
emummcforce=1
My wifi doesn't work (broken i think because there 2 missings capacitor on the motherboard who leads to the WLAN module)

My issue

My installed games do not launch.

I have three games installed:
 • Two games appear in red in DBI and show incorrect sizes. "Nothing here" under Tickets
 • One game appears normal and shows the correct size. Tickets are present
When launching them:
 • Some games display "You must own the software to play" and redirect me to the eShop.
 • BOTW displays "You must load the virtual game card".
 • The games do not appear in SYSMMC, only in EMUMMC.
I installed Tesla/sys-patch at one point, but removed it after it caused Atmosphère crashes (2168-0002).
i tried multiple version of syspatch but nothing work too.

Any guess ?

Backup the atmosphere and bootloader folder from your SD card and remove them afterwards. Once done, get the latest fresh Atmosphere, Hekate, DBI and sys-patch from their repos and reboot to CFW. If the games do not work, try reinstalling them with the latest DBI. I'd suggest you get the latest keys as well with latest Lockpick_RCM as well. As for the Tesla menu, I'd suggest that you switch to Ultrahand instead.

I've seen people running into 2168-0002 with outdated overlays or something. I have 0 issues on my Switch that's up-to-date with all the latest homebrew apps and modules that I'm using.

Steps:
1) Reboot to hekate.
2) Open up USB tools and connect your Switch to the PC and do the stuff I mentioned above.
3) Before rebooting back into CFW, launch Lockpick_RCM from the payloads and follow the on-screen instructions.
4) Reboot back to hekate and launch your emuMMC CFW.
5) Once it reboots, the games should work and, if not, try reinstalling them.

Check for up-to-date apps here.
