in regards to sys-clk i wish there was a homebew app to config it and it grabs the title ids or games that are currently installed on the switch

Yeah, I get 21 seconds when loading my save file vs 26 seconds when OCing (now UCing) to 1.2 GHz vs 31 seconds (!!!) in v1.5.0. GPU is also OC'd to 768 MHz automatically.

EDIT: Test results before the update and after:
Loading savefile: 31 seconds -> 21 seconds
Fast travel: 19 seconds -> 11 seconds
Entering shrine: 10 seconds -> 7 seconds

EDIT2: Mario Odyssey does the same and it REALLY improves the start time!

LOL... Leave it to cardboard to fix nintendo load times!

@p-sam it seems GZDoom in particular is requesting more performance from GPU instead CPU, so it’s not a problem with sys-clk being incompatible with some homebrew.

BTW, if I have active both sys-clk and freebird which one has priority over other?

Having both is undefined behavior, I never ran Freebird myself

yeah, it would be nice. no need to eject, go to tablet, add values, put microsd back to switch, inject payload....

btw, theoretically, it should be relatively easy for any developer to make a homebrew app for adding config to sysclk config. even easier if it wont auto-detect game libraries, and need you to manually type the titleID.

unfortunately i know nothing of making homebrew apps on switch

EDIT:
in the mean time, use this https://gbatemp.net/download/vgedit-console-text-editor.35440/

without a homebrew app no it's not
Lol

oh, i see.
is it easy to try this tweak?
Yeah, should be. You can import profiles made by the community or make a few yourself editing the config file, the format is in the README. If you're not confortable with using a text editor, a graphical user interface is planned

Hey guys, is sys-clk still the best solution for overclocking the Switch?
Im just wondering cause the last update of it was May 16 (via GitHub).
