Correct. I dont believe there are any games that use the new masterkey yet... updates are a different story so just stick to the base games for now

Yes I am on 8.1 and games released after the 9.0 firmware was released work fine on my 8.1. emunand.

Just check in a piracy forum for when newer games and updates start needing the 9.0 firmware.

SXOS here on firmware 8.1 (no emunand) and I have yet to come across a game that is not working.

Not released yet. No idea when it will be, just wait.

You can update sysnand if you need to for online play. But you can not update emunand yet and you can not update yet if you don't use emunand.

sxos will not work yet if you install 9.0, so hold off on that. Stay on 8.1 enjoy sxos and pretty much all games released up to now (as far as I am aware, and I'm pretty aware )

Pretty sure he updated to 9.0 already or he wouldn't be asking.

If you're on 9.0 you'll have to use Atmosphere for the time being.

If you're on 9.0.0, just make a clean nand back up, download Atmo/Hekate, downgrade to 8.1.0 with Choi, create an emunand on the downgraded partition, then flash your original nand back.

I had 9.0.0 and this worked fine for me, albeit a bit of a tedious process and takes like 2-3 hours but it does allow you to use SX.

When Atmosphere provides playing XCIs from usb drive then there's no reason to use SX OS. Right now that's a feature that no one else can offer and it's cheaper to buy SX OS + a external hard drive than a huge sd card. A 1 TB sd card cost $450 that's more than a Nintendo Switch.
