In a nutshell, yes. The problem here is the signature patches used to run SX OS aren't being redirected so all .XCIs will still fail (as well as the .NSP files). They're designed to be used with SX OS and not any other CFW.

So more waiting I guess?

This thread's been up for more than a month. A lot of people have already been waiting a long time. Plus, we already got .NSPs working via ReiNX before the "crack" was live. All we're really missing is .XCI support which is more of a personal preference than a legitimate advantage.

XCI loading is coming as well to cfw, just a matter of time. At some point free solutions will surely overtake SX OS but until that point is reached I have already played countless hours using SX OS for a small fee.

I realy hope. XCI loading makes it into the free CFWs. That's basically all I care about at this point.

its just not sigpatches you need for xci, you also need the redirect of 'game cartridge' commands to microsd, none of that is in the ripped 'sx os menu', all that is in rest of 'sx os' which has not been cracked. -- so i would not call this a 'crack' in any shape or form, just a copy of their 'sx os menu' patched to load up and not check for license, without the rest, its like basically running a shell without the meat and guts for it to work correctly.

There will eventually be a free XCI loader, just going to wait until that becomes available before I start messing with retail games

It ain’t cracked.
The only reason why the nsp installation work is that because it’s integrated in the menu and we have sigpatch out.
It isn’t ducking cracked...

I think the point of cracking the OS is getting around the security check, or what do you consider a crack?

A crack is being able to use the sx os without having a license.
This is just loading the menu with homebrew loader

Well it's now got more features that TX wanted you to have, also it's only a matter of time until it's fully cracked, personally I literally don't care if it gets cracked or not, but people want to crack it and when people get an idea in their heads - it's just a matter of time before those ideas bear fruit!
