I put my extracted homebrew apps (each in their own folder) in the 'switch' folder in my SD root and the built-in homebrew browser isn't seeing them.

Should they not be in individual folders?
I'm trying to do the chocolate versions of Doom, etc. and didn't want to mix up their config files.

If I'm doing it right, could it be that I'm adding them from a Mac?

Xci and nsp are working just fine.

Thanks in advance!

If it’s the same problem that I had, I had to use a windows machine, right click everything in the switch SD Card and go to something like advanced and uncheck an archiving button, then the homebrew will show up.

I haven’t figured out how to do this on Mac yet.

Two things that seem to improve my experiences on Mac are:

- Running this in terminal before I eject: "sudo chflags -R arch /Volumes/Switch/" with the volume name being your SD card name. This will prompt a password, enter your default password and press enter.
- Then using HiM to eject the drive: https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/52076/him

I tried the terminal workaround trying to get Devmenu to work before the 1.4 update and ended up corrupting my SD card and losing all of my saves.
I reformatted the card and started dumping stuff on it again and everything works again, but I'm nervous to go into terminal stuff again.
Will probably borrow the lady friend's Windows computer if I want to try homebrew again.
I appreciate the feedback.

I believe that is correct yes.
And not to be that guy,but did this really deserve its own thread?

The main thread is here : https://gbatemp.net/threads/team-xecuter-releases-sx-os-v1-4.512517/

In the very same sub forum.
Just a heads up for next time

Not to be the guy, but I wasn't trying to wade through pages of comments to find the answer to my question.
Sorry to tarnish your experience and thanks for the link.

You actually right, in the entirety of that thread there was no question like yours, nor an answer.

What I meant was we all seem to be answering a whole lot of Q's there, its not as if its an abandoned thread made months ago.

Someone would have quoted and answered you in there just fine :P
