Hi just bought a new switch and checked the serial number on executor website and it said it wasnt Patched

So i followed the guide injected the payload and activated auto RCM in the menu and then told it to boot into OSX

However the OS it booted into didnt look custom looked more like the original
So i let it connect to the wifi as i was going to activate the license online

After i competed the setup wizard it warned about having to do a update in order to use the SDcard

I said no and i wanted to get into the cusotm firmware so i went to power options and restart

It no wont turn on?

Did you inject the payload again? Auto-RCM just eliminates the need of the jig but you still need to inject a payload everytime you completely shut off the system.

SX OS also doesn't look different to the original firmware until you enter the Album, where all the custom firmware stuff is.

If the SD Card really isn't recognised at all it might help to update with ChoiDujourNX, but as far as i know the SD Card should always be detected in RCM Mode.

Every time I see something similar to this dam title it’s always autoRCM. Jesus Christ!!!!! You installed it you should know it’s there.

Is anything detected on your PC? Like does it make the sound when u plug in a device?

If not, let the switch charge for a couple of hours. Auto-RCM always drains the battery, so there's a good chance that you're just out of juice.

Oh wait your right ive removed the jig now its gone green

So should i let it do a system update?

Depends if you want to be able to downgrade later in time. You can always update with ChoiDujourNX to avoid bruning fuses.

Or you could install SX OS's emunand, and update the emunand.

But first thing you should do anyways is to make a nand backup ;)

I think it depends on how your card is formatted.

Fuses are burnt after every major update, or to be specific when you boot into the original firmware after a major update. Usually updates disable Auto-RCM but when you update with ChoiDujourNX Auto-RCM is activated giving the switch no chance to boot into OFW.

Thats a question you should avoid around here, because... uhm... yeah everyone has different opinions on that and most of them don't agree with each other.

If you have already bought SX OS i would say go and use it. If not, there are also free custom firmwares which allow you to play e-shop titles and even rom backups (although they kinda convert it to e-shop format first).

For backing up the nand just take a look in the tutorial section. Or use the built in feature in SX OS.

All i need it to do is see the SD card which is 128Gb
Is there a way to upgrade the firmware to one that is known to be safe and supports a 128gb sdcard
