Hacking Question Switch Update

Hello,

I have a Switch which i believe is currently not banned.
If i update offically online will it ban me?
Or should i just update with Choid.

Always update with ChoiDujourNX because than you could downgrade later on since you don’t burn fuses.

Always update with ChoiDujourNX because than you could downgrade later on since you don’t burn fuses.

Won't burn fuses as long as you use autorcm or somehow NEVER boot ofw without a payload.

Anyway if you don't have a clean backup it probably doesn't matter as whenever you decide to go online Nintendo will see and do whatever they want as far as ban goes.

If you do have a clean backup and don't care about fuses and want to go through hoops like I have sometimes... Backup current saves or nand--> Restore clean backup--> Update legitimately online--> create new clean boot & nand backup--> setup cfw--> reinstall and restore saves.

Or a handful of other ways.

eyy guys decided not to make a new thread for this, could someone help me out with the new update thing 7.x

i got it from that dark site the title of it was sdk 7.0.1 i think.
anyway i used choidujour and it updated just fine but after a couple of reboots and (updating few of the backups within ofw) i now see a "system update is ready"under settings in both ofw and cfw.

can someone shed light on what's happening for me, and whether reflashing that update would solve this issue, thanks in advance!

Try using 90DNS to block connection to Nintendo, if thats not working try boot into maintenance mode while in airplane that should clear any downloaded updates

im still on 6.2, use Sxos 2.6 but only update to 7.0.1 when yoshi need it, there are to many bad games thats asking for 7.0.1 and not word for it

But I believe you can bypass the update requirement

I used choidujour to update to 6.2 becasue permaban

make sure you check exfat from the two options it gives you when you do update and double check if you want autorcm on or off.
I made a mistake and choose option on the left of non exfat

and it would not not boot into cfw, hung at black screen and asked for update for sdcard



luckily i had an extra sd card around that I formatted to fat32 and put in licesnce, boot.dat, firmware folder and switch folder with homebrew to re-update to exfat version via choi.
tegrarcmgui app/ dongle helped with the booting issue I had with autorcm

going to update to 7.01 when time requires it
