Now that the Switch 2 is out whats the future of modding a Switch OLED without a modchip be?

It's very unlikely, but if you're optimistic, you can always hope that an exploit was found and is being kept secret until Nintendo no longer cares about updating firmware for the Switch. But if you really want to avoid using a modchip, your best bet would be to buy an unpatched V1 used.

NEVER WILL HAPPEN. PERIOD. (unless someone steal the private keys of Nintendo and put a stealth server with a hacked firmware which can be installed on a unmodded console)

Do not assume that some magical softmod will appear just because Nintendo stops pushing updates. It could be decades until such an exploit is found. The non-persistent softmod (read as: "hypervisor exploit") for the Xbox takes 20 minutes per boot and only works around 30% of the time, and it came out 20 years after the first Xbox 360 shipped.

get your oled switch hardmodded and enjoy the future. tf are you waiting for.
I just don't want to spend 100+ dollars getting a modchip in my switch and I can play most of my games with a emulator anyways. Maybe down the line it will be cheaper and then I'll do it.
