Hello,

I've been out of the loop yet again for awhile and I was going to update my switch but it seems there is a lot of new stuff out (daybreak for example).

I'm currently on 9.2.0|AMS 0.12.0|E.

How would I go about updating everything ? And is 11.0.1 the best firmway to stay on right now ?

From what I gather, It would be:
Get new FW, Atmosphere, Hekate, sigpatches
Replace all old files with the new ones
Update FW using daybreak on emunand

I don't use sysnand at all, it's on 9.2.0 as that was the last time I touched my switch.

is ftpd safe to use while connected to nintendos servers, or should i just use 90dns when working with that?

There is no such thing as a safe CFW or homebrew.

Definitively a noob question but Is the "update controlers" feature safe on SX OS with the recent Firmware update 11.0.0? heard it somewhat addresses the joycon drift issue and that's something I would def like to have.

Update: Welph...wondering if there's a DNS around that blocks firmware updates but not software ones. I have SX OS and accidentally updated to 11.0.1 while testing some around (which did not work clearly), so now I'm stuck with OFW till SX decides to release a new version compatible with 11.0.1 :')

But while I wait for that miracle to happen I would like to address this while I have the chance.

The only issue with updating controllers as far as I know is if you have pins 9 & 10 connected together permanently such as with soldering. As for your second question, I do not know of such a DNS.

11.0.1 is definitely not the best fimware; in fact, it is probably one of the worst firmware versions to be on right now due to its how unstable it is. A good rule of thumb is to always avoid the latest firmware as that usually has the most issues with CFW & homebrew. The best firmware would be the one right before 11.0. Outside of that, you have the general process in updating correct. Just make sure you are not updating to any 11.X firmware and follow the steps you outlined yourself.

My switch runs emunand/atmosphere but since I changed micro sd cards I noticed (dont know if its related) that my system is almost full (only 1,2gb) left. I have only one save from New Super Mario.
How do I free more space? I only have games downloaded and saved on my micro sd card.
the guy that jailbroke my switch said that its normal because the emunand and the settings take up a lot of space from the system. But something is off

Is there a way for me to unhack my Switch back to the way it was when I bought it and not risk being banned? Let me explain my setup below:

I followed this guide here (https://switch.homebrew.guide/index.html). I have an unpatched Switch that can use RCM, I created an emuMMC, and I have a backed up NAND. But to avoid having to use the RCM dongle and jig to boot into my custom firmware, I also installed caffeine so I can use Pegaswitch to launch into Hekate since my Switch was on Firmware 4.0. So when booting into custom firmware, I either always used the Fake News Icon or the RCM dongle and jig to launch my emuMMC custom firmware.

The thing I am worried about is I don't remember if I created my NAND back up using my RCM dongle and jig (meaning I would know for a fact that my NAND is clean) or if I did it after I injected PegaSwitch into the fake news (in which case I worry my NAND back up has that modification). Is there any way for me to know for sure that my NAND backup is 100% clean? And if not, if that is the only modification to my Switch, would I be able to factory reset my switch and update to the latest firmware and use it like normal without being banned.

The reason why I am doing this is my son broke his Switch and I really don't want to buy him a new one. I hacked this Switch when the exploit first came out and then haven't done much to it since. I have another Switch which I use normally for myself. So how should I proceed? Please let me know if there is any additional information you need. Thank you.

No, Let's Go were designed with the pokeball controller in mind in term of a controller outside of the joycon.

How can I tell if my NAND is clean? I'm assuming I can just restore my NAND and delete everything on my SD card and see if the PegaSwitch News thing is still there. Is that the best way to go about it? And if so, can you link me to a good guide for restoring my NAND? Thank you.

Clean NAND is a NAND backup prior to loading any CFW onto the switch, any backup after CFW is ran is considered dirty, going online with a dirty NAND will get you banned eventually, if you never did a NAND backup prior to running CFW you are pretty much out of luck. You can try Haku33 but that doesn't really count toward clean NAND to be honest.

I have Child of Light installed using Tinfoil in my NAND, and now I want to add a patch to translate it to another language.

However I can't find the game folder. Can anybody help me find the game folder so I can replace the game file with a patched translation?

Or, in other word, how do I copy the entire game folder to the NAND? Just place it in the Nintendo folder and it'll run?

• EdiZon
• DeepSea Toolbox
• NX-Shell

are the ones that don't start.

Meaby better buying brand new V2 with allready instaled SX Core? I dont care about online gameing, but i want still buying eshop games,
i thinking to mod switch only for OC to heavy games, and some emulators. Any advice?

Personally I use one switch for CFW stuff and the other for online, however if you only have the one console, I would try to get a RCM vulnerable console and set up emunand for your CFW stuff and sysnand for online stuff

Meaning that it had me accept the User Agreement, set date and time, and create a User. Also, I do not see any mention of PegaSwitch in the News section. So I believe I am good to go.

Just one more question. Since this Switch is on Firmware 4.1.0 and I believe the NAND I restored was clean, I should now be safe to connect my Switch to the internet to update my Switch to the latest firmware and use it like a regular normal Switch, right? Thank you.

You would play your eshop games in OFW

Any *backups* are played in CFW - Emunand if you only have the one console

FAT32, yes I've got the latest version of the apps, I've verified.
Maybe should I update the FW from 10.2.0 to 11.0.1?

If yes, where may I find the latest FW to install with ChoidujourNX?
