I have 512GB card in my switch but I am unable to move a 6gig game in there, saying its too large. Looking on my pc shows that im using less than half the space.

Did I mess up installing CFW or is there some type of hidden large file I should probably delete?

If you have a FAT32 card you can't copy and paste a file larger than 4gb, if you are planning to install a game learn to do usb install via a computer, by connecting the switch to your computer.

hello. Just bough an OLED Switch and going to mod it. How do I play on LAN Worlds in Minecraft (joining other worlds in my LAN, for example on Windows PC).
I assume I would have "emulate" that I have Nintendo Switch Online membership and an Nintendo Account - how tho? Is there a software that does it?

When we keep the Switch connected to the power outlet while playing with the battery at 100% will the energy still pass through the battery in a continuous charge/discharge type of loop or will it skip using the battery and 'feed' the Switch directly (for lack of a better term)?

I'm guessing that if the battery is being used 100% of the time than it would degrade way faster over time reducing its lifespan?

Hello!
I want to ask a game...[edited cause I wasn't know %100 forum policy, I guess]

If my console works on online, I would the buy that game already but I'ts banned.

Hey, haven't been in the scene for a while and I need a bit of help.

My friends and I were planning a 4 person nuzlocke of pokemon sword and shield. Together we have 4 switches (3 of them non modified + one with atmosphere), and 3 legit copies of the game.
We also absolutely need to be able to battle each other locally.

All of the "legit" switches are on the latest firmware (20.3.0). To my understanding, that version doesn't work with atmosphere yet, so my question is:

is it in any way possible to be able to have the hacked switch communicate locally with the others while being on a slightly lower firmware itself? If yes, how do I update that switch to the desired firmware, considering that atmosphere doesn't run on fw 20.3.0.? (the emunand of the hacked switch is on 15.0.1. atm).

Any help or suggestions appreciated, cheers!

One way to find out. As far as I know, all Switches should be on the same game version, not necessarily the firmware version. 20.2.0 is the latest firmware supported (officially) by Atmosphere and there have been plenty of changes since 15.0.1 you're currently at, namely at 17.x.x (might run into issues if you've ever "wiped" your Switch), 19.x.x (less memory for sys-modules and battery draining issues, mostly for those that have real NNID linked to one of the accounts) and latest 20.x.x (even less memory for sys-modules). Even 18.x.x. had some battery draining issues, but from what I've seen it wasn't as widespread as in 19.x.x.

As for how to update, check this guide.

What fw version would you suggest that i update to? And is it safe to update through the AIO switch updater + daybreak or is that outdated? Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I already have the latest atmosphere and hekate btw

If you use a lot of mods for certain games and/or plenty of active sys-modules, 18.1.0 is the latest best firmware, while 19.0.1 might be a viable option as well.
Otherwise, if you want to be up-to-date, 20.2.0 should be the latest one you should update to (or 20.3.0 once the Atmosphere update is out).

Fortunately, latest update 1.3.2 for both Pokemon Sword and Shield require firmware 12.0.0, so you should be fine even if you remain on 15.0.1.

Just wanted to say thanks, I got it all sorted out in the end. You were right about not having to update the system itself, only the game - i misremembered that part.

I repost, sorry for this, but Im looking for help

I accidentaly updated to 20.3.0 firmware and I used an unnoficial atmosphere version that the owner posted

"cant start program, try again in home menu"

It works, but when I install a nsp for example homebrew app and I enter it, I get a error

Do you know why? Thanks for your help !!

Gentlemen experts, good afternoon) maybe you can tell me where to do what. On vacation, during the game, the flashed Nintendo switch lite turned off on its own. When it was turned on, it started giving out various errors (screenshots) in the attachment. Sometimes artifacts appear on the screen, and sometimes it freezes when it is turned on. However, if it is not touched, it turns on without any problems the next day, works for a while, and then turns off again...
I came back, formatted the sdcart as fat32, and reinstalled the atmosphere and kefir. I installed and started the switch, but it didn't last long, and it happened again. Sometimes it logs in to hekate. But most of the time it doesn't log in... I changed the sdcart, and it happened again. SDcart Samsung Evo 256 and 512

First of all, please post in English next time as this is the English-only speaking community.

I'm not sure what's going on with your setup but I'd recommend that you try with the fresh Atmosphere, Hekate and sys-patch setup and see if that works. Make sure to backup your atmosphere and bootloader folders from your SD card just in case. I'd advise against using AIO packs like Kefir unless you know what you're doing as these packs tend to have more stuff than average user needs.

Update your Atmosphere, Hekate and sys-patch and see if that fixes the issue.

Hello, ive just converted from XS OS over to Atmosphere, and i have a few questions.

Im trying to run my roms, but i don't know how to mount them. When i used XS, i could select which rom i wanted to play in the album, and it would mount it to the switch as if it were a physical game card.

I can see a lot of guides showing how to install games from tinfoil and the like (as if they were an eshop install), but i would like to be able to play my roms without installing them like i could with XS OS.

Is there any way to do this with Atmosphere? Do i need to get some HB to do it for me?

Unfortunately, Atmosphere doesn't support XCI USB loading feature that SX OS did back in the day. If it did it would be long gone by now due to the copyright issues. Check this guide on how to update your Switch CFW.

thats disappointing... installing each game makes file management a nightmare.

Well, any game that needs FW past v11 wont work on XS it seems, so ill have to figure something else out.

Maybe partition my sd card to have XS on one partion and Atmos on the other, and just install the games that need modern firmware on the atmos partition?

Oh well, ty anyway
