    The wii had a gc emulator so I bet it will (not talking about an official one)

    That's false.
    The Wii was basically a reskinned Gamecube with Motion controls.
    The Wii and the Gamecube had the same kind of hardware/architecture, hence why it was possible to play Gamecube games on it.

    As for the OP's post, that's nothing more than a leftover or a placeholder which has been found in other Nintendo consoles, like the 3DS.
