Sure. But no one bothered to create one yet :SCan something like that be possible? I'd love to watch my movies and anime episodes on the go.
Yea unfortunately, I think something like that is hard. Maybe not worth all the hassle to some.Sure. But no one bothered to create one yet :S

It is actually really simple, we have all the tools we need.
Anything over 1080p will be troublesome (even 1080p could make trouble, given there is no GPU accel yet).
A proper multithreaded application should probably handle this fine tho, right now.
I think its just most of us dev's have different priorities right now
Linux has no Sound yet. So watching Videos on it is almost useless.this will damage the switch in the case that it would relay on cpu rend and would heat up some ... so if you want an Media Player get Linux

Just port over FFMPEG with hardware decoding, give it a touchscreen gui, and call it a day.
If Vulkan was open-source, you could.I am not sure if trolling or serious.
6k Posts, "Developer" Title, "Just port over ffmpeg with hardware decoding", ya. No shit
Why don't you just port vulkan over?
I think Custom Firmware might be able to patch out the sig-check, and allow files from PC to play.A another way is to sign mp4 files to play them in Swtich album. But i don't know if we can actually.

I watch Anime, even when I'm at the station or travelling by train.
Sometime I get to talk to very cool people because of this.
