I don't really play the switch anymore except a daily dose of ACNH. I always close all background apps and completely exit the game when I put my Switch to sleep everyday after playing. But the next day when I wake it up, I always realize that the battery drained but at least 15% each time. So even if I only played for 30 minutes in a 5 days, I will still need to do a full charge because of the idle draining.

I just want to know if this is normal. I have jailbroke the Switch but I haven't enabled autoRCM.

Thanks.

15% is a bit high for not having auto-rcm on. I did a test once and I lost 1-2% every 6 hours. So 8% per day max but it was usually always less than that. More like 3-5% a day. Maybe my battery (and yours) has more wear now. Might do another test eventually.

Yeah i had this same experience, mine doesn't go down 15% overnight (i dont have auto-rcm either). Usually around 2-3% when in emunand however, I bought my switch around october 2019 so its also fairly new. Plus my switch is always in airplane mode.

That sounds about right. Mine doesn't go from 100% down to 85% in a day but if it's fully charged and I leave it in sleep for a week, there will only be like 15-30% battery left when I want to play. If I leave it for much longer than that, it'll have turned itself off. Remember that the Switch is still checking for updates, notifications etc. in the background, which uses wifi constantly and makes the CPU work. Turning airplane mode on might help save battery.
You might just have more games installed that receive more frequent updates than I do (guessing Fortnite for example gets updated frequently which is a game I don't play) which is causing it to take longer checking for updates and downloading them and draining more battery than my Switch does in sleep mode. Or you have slower internet/slower wifi making it take longer to download them.

Common problem on OG switch with battery drain bug that I still get. Was down to older FW but some say its the software used to read the battery percentage. Check battery capacity in hekate. If its very low. Drain your battery to 0 and then recharge. This bug will keep reoccuring but should improve gradually.

Thanks. But it has already happened several times where I tried to wake the Switch and it was already off after a few days of not playing. So I assume what you said above has already happened naturally?
