Hi everyone,
I’m dealing with a strange issue on a Nintendo Switch I’m repairing, and I’m hoping someone here has encountered this before or can help me out. Here are the details:
Has anyone encountered a similar issue? Or do you have any ideas on what might be causing this?
Thanks in advance for your advice and help!
I’m dealing with a strange issue on a Nintendo Switch I’m repairing, and I’m hoping someone here has encountered this before or can help me out. Here are the details:
- The console was water-damaged, but only around the battery and the BQ chip.
- I replaced the BQ24193 along with the surrounding components that seemed damaged.
- The P13USB was also fried, so I replaced it as well.
- Occasionally, it goes into a black screen, especially when the battery is completely drained.
- If I disconnect the battery and plug in the charger directly, the console restarts normally and starts charging.
- However, if I leave the battery connected and just plug in the charger when this issue occurs, the console stays stuck on the black screen.
- The only way to restart the system in this case is to disconnect the battery and reconnect it.
- After I saw the problem, I changed the battery too, but that don't solve the problem.
Has anyone encountered a similar issue? Or do you have any ideas on what might be causing this?
Thanks in advance for your advice and help!
