You should really do over all the news.
Not necessarily safe. The first exploit could come out to the earliest versions rather than 3.0.

NUH-UH! That "exploit" you're talking about is only usable for developers. SO IT IS INDEED YOU WHO SHOULD CATCH UP.

Okay seems like we can no longer go online on Firmware 2.0.0, eShop instantly throws an error, Puyo Puyo Tetris also throws a Network Error and so on...
 
I'm on 2.3 and eShop has stopped working despite the DNS. Meh, I'll update to 3.0, whatevs.
 
Okay yeah, not working again... You HAVE to do a system update now in order for the eShop or any online games to work, which sucks...

Well, so long 2.0.0, it was nice while it lasted...

Sucks? Nope. Unless you are a dev, you have no reason not to update.
