Hey guys,

so I have my Backup Switch here on 8.1 I would like to update it to 9.2 in Case the new Animal Crossing require so. Is there currently a way to Update the Firmware of the Switch without loosing the Coldboot thing?

Since I lost my JIG, it is kinda hard to get it into the State again.

Also did they unbanned Switches from the CDN? I was definetly banned on the CDN but now I can just download the Update fine again. ( I dont want to run it, since this will reset the Coldboot stuff)

Use ChoiduJourNX with option "AutoRCM/Prevent fuses burn".
However, you will have to find the update outside official Nintendo servers.

Can this be used with firmware files downloaded by the Switch itself?

I mean I can click "Update" so he Downloads the Update Files.

- If your Switch is unpatched, it cannot be patched: the bug to boot the CFW isn't in the software but in the hardware
- There isn't any "coldboot" for Switch
- - if you mean the AutoRCM, you can keep it by updating your Switch with ChoiDojourNX
- You can enter in the RCM using a little piece of tinfoil
- Nintendo will never unban a banned console. You can download firmware updates but not play online

The Firmware DL was also blocked, that is why I asked. Can I extract the Update Files with HacDiscMount to update it with ChoiDojourNX?

@ehnoah my switch firmware is 9.0 I am trying to update to 9.2 in order to play animal crossing. Which method did you use to do that?
I am worried to get brick or doing something wrong.

Thank you in advance.
