Hello thank you for taking time out of your day to read my upon my dilemma I am now encountering.
I’ve had the switch 8.0.1 AMS CFW, kept receiving the notifications to update the switch (8.1) for a few days now but kept declining it.
I accidentally updated it last night. And didn’t really get a chance to really look into it until today. It successfully installed the update (I know this update is very recent this unfortunately I haven’t seen too many post online about this and of course hence I created an account on the forum for advice since now i’m stuck)
I couldn’t boot to atmosphere as I had a previous version that wasn’t compatible with the new switch firmware. I then removed the SD card and installed the newest version of Atmostphere (0.9.1). I managed to boot to CFW but unfortunately all my games (NSPs) no longer worked. I then decided to downgrade to my previous version 8.0.1 via ChoiDujourNX and downloaded 8.0.1 online. The install went successfully and at the end asked for me for 8.0.1 or 8.0.1 (exFat). I selected the 8.0.1 NOT the exFat version as well as to disable auto RCM.
The update successfully went through, but now the switch won’t power on at all. Tried connecting with TegraRCM but to no avail. After additional tinkering with it, I formatted my SD Card and installed the previous version of Atmosphere (0.8.9) and then TegraRCM detected it! I selected the appropriate payload and it everything seemed good but now it shows the AMS screen and after a few seconds it goes black and nothing ever happens. The switch does not load to the switch OS. Attempted to put the switch on maintenance mode but nothing happens. At any point in time I do not see the Nintendo splash screen, only the atmosphere boot logo if I enable the payload via TegraRCM but nothing ever happens after that.
Any recommendations or suggestions would greatly be appreciated. I apologize for the level of knowledge on this matter. I’ve had this switch a little over a year, never had a real issue with it until now. After doing some additional reading, I think I might’ve burned up all the fuses (hoping that I haven’t) but I’m hoping this issue can be rectified.
