Hardware Switch Display Backlight Uneven / Drop-off

I just checked mine and I don't have this issue thankfully. You could try buying a bundle and seeing how those Switch's look.

Honestly though, I'd just take solace in the fact yours doesn't have dead pixels, dust under the screen, or intense backlight bleed though, I had to go through 3 switches before finding one I'm okay with. Quality control on Nintendo's end is pretty crappy.

That's fucking absurd... And yeah, I agree. To see this issue on as many units as I had to go through is proof they don't give a fuck about their displays at this point in time. I also recall the dead pixel and backlight bleed issues "some" users had when the Switch first came out. I did hear about it a lot, though, so it seemed like it was a pretty prevalent issue.

At this point, I question if it's only an issue for me, as the dudes at GameStop had said they never noticed it until I pointed it out directly to them. However, I have no question that at least some older first-gen units don't have this problem, just judging from images online. The one I have now is much MUCH better than the one in the OP, it's very difficult to notice but I won't say it isn't still there.
