Gaming Switch Consolidation E3

This E3 and the next year is where nintendo need to capitalise on the nintendo switch's great first year success. They need to build and continue the momentum going forward.

I feel as though the past few months have been quite stagnant in terms of releases and announcements, today I did have some hope with Bethesda's conference however I was left bitterly dissapointed after the switch only been given fallout shelter.

What do you think Nintendo will showcase at E3 that is going to continue this momentum of success? Or will nintendo fall short of the mark?

I personally am praying for a kingdom hearts 3 on the switch but i realise thats not going to happen. Golden sun for the switch? unlikely. Right now ill just settle for that next main pokemon game, not this pokemon go pikachu and eevee crap.

I think the fact we got fallout shelter means we will probably see a Switch version of Fallout 3 or something in the Nintendo E3 direct.

I'm hoping that the 3rd party's like Bethesda will be coming back for Nintendo cameos.

We'll get two Nintendo Switch games from Konami. One is a new game, another one is a compilation. I really hope it will be a Metal Gear or Silent Hill compilation.

Nintendo probably have the best line-up to show between Metroid Prime 4, Smash 5, Bayonetta 3, more Pokemon footage, etc. Hoping Cuphead comes to Switch along with the new DLC, and we get a couple other unexpected reveals (new Animal Crossing or Pikmin perhaps).

Cuphead is a Xbone and PC "exclusive".

yeah like all xbox exclusives, if i recall right microsoft bough teh studio, like they announced today they bough 5 more studios, so every game those studios make will be xbox and windows only.

You're right, Cuphead is strictly Microsoft only. Anyone who thinks it's coming to other platforms is silly.

Studio MDHR is not owned by Microsoft. However they did say that the original Cuphead will only ever be on Xbox and PC. Any proper sequels is free to come to other platforms

I wouldn't mind ports of both zelda upgrade ports from wiiu since so few people even got to play them.
I probably dont see fallout 3 happening (fallout 4 def no, they wouldnt even release them on ps3 and xb360 because they couldnt handle the game)

There's still some ports I'd like to see if I'm honest; Xenoblade X and Wind Waker + Twighlight HD. I'd also really like Diablo 3 and No Mans Sky on Switch too, and I don't think it would be impossible (unlikely maybe).

As for original stuff, I've played more 'original' games in the last 18months on Switch than in the last 4 years on my PS4 or Xbox. While many have not been exclusive the indie scene is never better played than on Switch, and it's these developers that are producing actual gameplay titles; not recycled system, open world, service model shite that we seem to be drowning in on other platforms. Honestly, there's barely a game available on PS4 or Xbox that isn't essentially a clone of a PS3 game, with content ripped out to be trickle sold back to the players or with AI removed in favour of 'competitive multiplayer'.

Now, chuck in some great first party offerings from Nintendo like Metroid, Pokemon and Fire Emblem, keep up the absolutely amazing indie relationship with games like My Life in Porto and Battle Chasers, get a couple more of those must buy Wii U games over for everyone to finally experience, not just the dedicated Nintendo hard-core and, unfortunately, get those 3rd party brain dead demographic titles like CoD, Fortnite and Fifa to tick the boxes and it would be hard to be disappointed with Nintys little handheld.

I think 3 is a great start for the Switch because
1. We all know it will run well on the Switch
2. I don't know a lot of people who play Fallout 1,2
3. Fallout 3 is the best for me (for now) and it is for a lot of fans
4. Fallout 4 maybe later ?
5. Fallout 76 not released yet ;(
