Hacking Switch brick

Today I got a system update message & I normally ignore these messages & turn my switch on airplane mode reboot to payload so that the message would disappear until i would have to update it offline & when i tried to do that i went to run a game while holding R to ram mode & I accidentally triggered the update & now the switch goes black screen whenever i inject the fusee payload as i run Atomsphere, the switch still gets picked up on my PC in RCM mode so i can boot into hekate just fine but I cant get into the switch home menu even after holding the POWER button 15+ seconds to hard reset . I also don’t have a backup for my nand

If you updated to 10.0.0 firmware then unfortunately you need to wait for atmosphere to support it.

You got the latest firmware that just got release. 10.0.0. So you just got to wait until Atmosphere and Hekate got support for it. Hopefully it goes quick.

Or SXOS if you now use it as well.

Just wait until he releases it. What you need to do later is to boot Atmosphere directly until Hekate also updates.
But just take a little break for now, don't try to downgrade or such. They're working on it.

You should probably use this downtime to pull a backup of your NAND for next time.

Did you use emunand or sysnand? I can't boot into cfw-sys anymore BUT emunand (second SD card) works.
Maybe there's a theme crashing your cfw? Try deleting the "0100000000001000" folder from your sdcard in /atmosphere/contents/
Solved the black screen for me on emunand (Fw 9.1.0 and 0.11.0).

Im not sure what the difference is when it comes to booting up but im pretty sure im on sysnand because I have this problem

Did you delete the old atmosphere files and then copy them to your sd card or did you copy over the old.

You should probably use this downtime to pull a backup of your NAND for next time.

If they burnt a fuse with this update (and they probably did) and older backup wouldnt do any good but like logandzwon said make one just so if anything u can have your keys and stuff.

I did manage to boot cfw-sys again. I've deleted the atmosphere folder of my sd card and replaced it by a clean atmosphere folder from the latest release. That lets me boot, but without new working sigpatches, cfw 10.0 isn't really worth it.

if you want to use Hekate you need to wait just a bit. CTCaer probably works on it. Signature patches are number 2 you need for your "totally legal backups".

What was the error message you got when you couldn't boot sys cfw?

There was no error message. Just plain black screen after the second atmosphere Bootscreen.
I don't know why, I assume that some kips, some patches or some sys modules wouldn't work with the new Fw.

Thanks for this thread.

My kids removed the Airplane mode and did the update by mistake lol.
I managed to turn back on my Switch by deleting Atmosphere and downloading the new one.

Would it be possible to downgrade to 9.2.0 (exFat) with ChoidujourNX or is it impossible because of the fuses ?
