Hi guys!

I have a strange problem. Ia have a modchiped(team executor) mariko switch. I have all files necessary for the boot(all taken from hats pack) on the sd card, which is formatted to fat32.
But when I insert it into switch and try to boot- it shows me boot.dat error with a microsd showing me a middle finger.

What am I missing? Is the sd card reader on the switch broken, all of a sudden?

Try replacing the HATS files again. But it does sound like you are on SX OS bootloader if you got this picture.

Never use the precompiled packages like HATS, they are not for everyone.

if you message is BOOT.DAT? you need a file called BOOT.DAT on the root of your SD Card,

you can use the the instructions on https://rentry.org/mys8q on summary:

Download https://web.archive.org/web/20210217231219/https://sx.xecuter.com/download/SX_Gear_v1.1.zip and extract to the root of your SD Card.

Download the latest hekate file from git hub, even if you think you already have it. extract to the root of the SD Card, then rename hekate_ctcaer_x.x.x.bin to payload.bin.

test and get into NYX by pressing Vol- while your console is loading.

Thank for your reply! I went and made everything that https://rentry.org/mys8q describes me to do. But when I insert sd card into switch and try to boot, I still get that "boot.dat?" image showing me a middle finger.

You have to flash Spacecraft-NX as your bootloader if you want to use Atmosphere/Hekate combo.

But if I dont want to flush my modchip, then I should be usingths: https://rentry.org/mys8q to fill my sd card with correct files?

Have you found a fix to the issue?
HATS pack made by sthetix should be good for SX chips on original firmware:
Code:
This pack also contains the SX Gear 1.1 Boot.dat file.
Only thing I don't like about HATS pack is that it does not have pure OFW. Also it does not block nintendo servers with hosts.

Or if you want to set it up things manually, you need to find a copy of sx gear on internet archive.

Has anyone figured out what to do about this if your sd card slot is broken? Right now, I'm sitting with a bricked switch.
