FAT32 have a 4gb file limit with is kind of meh. Is it safe to format to exFAT or will the Switch have to reformat the SD Card to FAT32?

The Switch will download the exFAT update when it detects an SD card that is formatted this way. However, it will also subsequently try to update the system. But since you need to be on 5.1 which is the latest firmware to do this, you can just format the SD card to exFAT.

Is there a thread for game compatibility? Tried owlboy using fortnite as a donor. Works fine (displays a little owlboy splash screen) before just shifting to a black screen.

I got Street Fighter II to work over Splatoon 2. One catch; you know the Nintendo and Nintendo Switch logo's that you see when something is loading? Yeah, I see that the entire time. Maybe it's cause I'm using Splatoon 2, cause it wouldnt work at all with Sonic Mania. Gonna try over Shovel Knight now
EDIT: Pressing home and going back seems to fix it. WOOT didn't expect to be able to backup load that fast

Try CFW. What payload/launcher thing are you using? I'm not familiar with it.

Rename your "target_titleid" to:
010025400AECE000

And boot hekate as load RomFS

but i already did that still loads fortnite

If it still liads Fortnite you have 2 options:
-check yours Fortnite titleId (eg with dumped save) - maybe is other than
010025400AECE000 (and rename target title id to it).

If still boots Fortnite - check everything from the start (hekate version, sd files etc) because if you can boot Fortnite after loading RomFs - you done something wrong - 'cause it should boot your choosed "backup" or freeze Switch.

What Title id did you put into Main.npd file?

Shutdown the switch and go in rcm and launch firmware then choose romfs and try again

ok when i try to do the thing on another game like blaster master zero it infinitely loads the switch logo

I dont know, but something goes wrong for me, everytime.
I do exact the things in the tutorial, step by step. try sonic with Fallout Shelter as Donor, error "files are corrupted and then he does a data scan" now i try Skyrim with octopath demo as donor, exact the same error message, files are corrupted.
Im on 5.1.0 and booted into the ctaer2.3 payload with romfs.
