Hey guys, just wondering, after installing the Xecuter Cfw, how am I able to go back to "stock" so I can go back online with no risk of getting banned.

Best way is to enter maintenance mode and restore factory settings & saves, this will clear everything including error logs

I’m afraid you might not be able to. Even if you had a NAND dump and you restored it, there is still the strong possibility that the switch has a hidden activity log that is not stored on Nand and cannot be wiped... if I were you I would just enjoy my switch with the myriad of games that are now available to you with SX OS and if you still really want to play online and not be banned, save some $ to buy a new switch and register it under a brand new Nintendo ID account.

In the mean time stay offline completely, there might be a solution in the near future that might be ban proofed... but until then sit back and relax

Complete These Steps:

1. Ensure the console is powered off.
   • If the console does not respond, hold down the POWER Button for twelve seconds to force it to shut down.
2. With the console powered off, hold down the volume up (+) and volume down (-) buttons, then press the POWER Button to turn the system on.
   • Be sure to maintain the volume buttons pressed down until the Maintenance Mode menu is displayed.

What about this gameboy rom TX puts on your system? They might look for that. Not shure if its on the SD or NAND.

If its not stored in the NAND, where do you propose it is stored then? There are only so many places you can write to on a piece of hardware. Storing this type of thing is one of the functions of NAND.

Now it’s all speculation here, I’m not a super tech dude, so what I’m saying below might complete bs, so pardon me for that. i start from the assumption that Nintendo anticipated this move and did not put that log in the obvious place, if this kind of log even exist. Other on this forum share this assumption too, but it is very much just an assumption, nobody knows for sure yet. They could have put it in the CMOS flash, part of the ram or even even in a small portion of the cache memory of the cpu... now I’m not sure which one of these (or any for that matter) could be persistent through a reset. Maybe it is on the nand, but a part of the nand that is encrypted and not erasable...

This is plausible speculation though. They already have fuses for firmware, they can simply read the number of read and write from the nand instructed by horizon, if that number is different then it means you have used something outside of their OS to write to nand, and ban hammer falls

Oh ok Thank you..but there is some people said that maintenance is not deleting it due to the log errors stored in nand not sd card..so what do you think?
If i do this then i go online i will be safe?

I'm wondering this exact same thing as well. I've used SX OS once to test that it works with an emulator, no backups or save edits etc. I only went obline briefly on OFW after booting SX just to install the SD card update.

Considering doing a full reset.

It might not be banned though, and you'd have to sell it as a "potentially banned console" at a significantly reduced price.

There's no way I'd sell it without being completely open either. I really wouldn't like the idea that I'm unloading a potentially banned console onto someone unsuspecting just for my own personal peace of mind. That's worse than piracy imo.

Well the other way is to make a full nand backup previously to all SX stuff but for the most is too late now (and we don't know if nintendo knows that the console has been on RCM mode), and yes i didn't say to sell it based on lies.

Yeah I know you weren't suggesting that, just making the point though.

I'm not fully convinced that a NAND restore is the solution either. We live in an age of machine learning, AI and crazy-advanced security. It's not outside the realms of possibility for Nintendo's servers to realise that e.g. your error log is 1 error short compared to what it was a few days ago, or an update to a specific game has magically disappeared. There are a number of things that are only possible with CFW.

This is why I'm still leaning towards factory reset as the best option.

Well I'm talking about a backup of Nand and SD card before all the homebrew and backups, never going online on hacked state and then if you want to "go back" online restore everything to previous state.
Just like a emunand but manually done.
