Switch asks for software update

My switch asked and downloaded update when connected to new wifi. Now it even asks to do this update before launching every game. And also cannot launch mk11 as it asks for internet connection now.

The switch prompt you about game update when they are available if you don't use communication blocker like exosphere, if you get system firmware update nag it is because the game update require newer firmware. Google darthsternie.

Thanks! Also I guess switch already got banned? But how did everything happen? I mean I downloaded a game from tinfoil just as usually but using different wifi and store and now can't even launch that game. It got question mark as icon. What can I do about that?

It might not be ban if it prompt you about game update.

I mean it also gives me an error with code 2181 4008 when I try to launch one of the games

It is because you didn't block communication with Nintendo server, if you did block communication correctly, it won't prompt you about game update.

You can launch goldleaf and delete pending updates, but if you keep your console connected to the wifi without setting up 90dns, eventually it'll download updates and prompt you to update again!

Or you can just launch the recovery mode of your switch (hold down the volume up and volume down buttons, then press the POWER Button to turn the console on. Be sure to keep pressing down the volume buttons until the recovery mode menu is displayed) and turn it off once been in there, this will also delete the firmware upgrade in the loop.

i know jailbroken switches are the norm for alot of people here but i feel the developers deserve some money for their hardwork
