I might test the save data transfer thing with my mega man 11 save. I'm at the final stage with about four hours, having to go to the game again after my first switch died.

Darn it, Now Nintendo Karen wont play with my Joy-cons until i update. I really enjoy Nintendo Karen. A lot of good the software sort is if you can t custom sort. Useless sort features... its not hard to implement a custom sort. Just do it the same way the wii does it. have the user hold down a button and then it goes into move mode and you can drag it. a simple text file can keep track of the order. But then hackers will exploit the text file (sorthax) dont you know... We cant have that.

If the brick rumors were true this could have been the greatest 'oops I updated' scenario of all time. Not that I'd wish it upon anyone though. :P

The AutoRCM brick that the devs are referring to is only possible if you're on a patched system and are running Atmosphere via a yet-to-be-released exploit.

Do a full backup, then you can use HacMount and extract the save. But just wait, updates for SXOS, Atmosphere and ReiNX will come.

My launch Switch is 7.0.1, completely stock. Can I backup my current NAND, update to 8.0 and downgrade later?

Yes as they're the same fuse. It's better to keep the both backups offline (airplane enabled) before backing them up to avoid synchronizing issue to the Nintendo server.

As long as it isn't an ipatched console then yes, you can do that, it is highly recommended. Also backup boot0/1 as well as nand

Thanks! Does the process of backing up risk any bans of done offline? Also, are there any current, recommended guides for that? Switch hacking seemssall over the place, and my system hasn't been tampered with at all.
