That made me lol.

I don't know how loud my speakers can go, but I do know that it's loud enough that I never put it on 33% volume (with the system on 50% volume). Sure, I could make it louder... but I prefer to keep my eardrums intact.

you see sound output per frequency isn't equal, here is a graph from an old x-bit lab review for a 2.0 set

the graph shows how the sound output (dbl) vary with the frequency on that set.
2 things may cause those variation, the room geometry and the speaker set construction and choice of component.

What I meant in my previous post is that you should try to get that line as flat as possible in order to get the most realistic and accurate sound reproduction.
