So I registered because I searched and searched for an answer in this sub-forum, and found none, also the wiki has some conflictive information:

I have a Supercard DS One that I bought in January 2009, so it isn't Ds One i or anything like that, I used to play my games in a Ds lite, now I got a DSi and I want to know if I can use this card, some places say that I can and some places say I can't, I've already tried updating the firmware via my dslite, but I get a "erase error" as well as a "writing error", I just formated the microSD I'm using.
I only want to know if it's even possible for me to use this card.

No, you can't. A Supercard DS ONE will only work with a NDS or NDS lite.

You need a Supercard DS ONE i if you want to use it with a NDS i or NDS i XL.

Although that's true, I wouldn't recommend anyone buying a DS ONEi at the moment.
The best option at the moment is the DSTWO.

Thats also true, but if he isn't into emulation, many other cheaper DSi-compatible cards will also do the job. Almost any card that can run on a Dsi supports nearly any commercial rom.

Most might run most games, but there are only a few that work with the latest DSi firmware.
The Acekard for example only works with 1.4.4 and lower.

Thanks to both of you, I think I will be getting a DsTwo, even if my favorite SNES games play poorly on it I can get a lot of other awesome games too. My DSi is in 1.4.4u, so I guess that isn't a problem, right?

The DSTWO will work with 1.4.4 and even with the latest firmware if it's updated.
If you're going to play SNES games, use the latest version of CATSFC and use it with highest CPU setting and frameskip 2 and quite some games will run quite nicely.
I can also recommend TempGBA.

Thanks for that info, I'm planning on playing the DKC and Super Mario RPG and I heard some cards have problems with those games.

No 3DS or DSi firmware is a problem for the DSTWO.

Well, then I might update my DSi, but I don't even know what for, I haven't heard of a Must Have game for it.

Well, the SNES emulators other than the one on the DSTwo aren't very compatible to begin with. The DSTwo's emulator is far better, but still not perfect, and special-chip games like Super Mario RPG have issues.

If you wanted to emulate, we would have suggested not going with any DS.

I have a Snes usb controller that I use to emulate sometimes, but for RPG's and such I find portables way more comfortable, that way I can play right before I sleep or in the bus. So, picking DSTwo is the way to go, then?
