For those who are interested... You CAN back up sm4sh 3DS replays.
Go into the SD card.
Go to Nintendo 3DS > 000000 > extdata > 000000 > 1b1c [needs checking, E versions only]
My proposal is this. Make a 3DS homebrew app that can extract these and import them. Basicially a backup and restore tool. Think SpecialliseMii but for replays.
