Thinking of buying a 360. Can all or most 360's be modded easily at home or do I need some special equipment? Also is there any guides out there?

If you go for the Xkey route (USB loading of games) then getting glossy Slim would be the perfect choice.
The DVD key can be extracted with ease.
If you want to flash your DVD drive, get a late Phatty (made in '09)
Online play is possible as long as you patch and verify all your games with ABGX.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)+1

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
