I got sunburnt at the beach today.

I'd make some joke about how having a fur coat would seem to be better except in order for it to penetrate it'd need to be 500% more radioactive, but then I thought to myself that wasn't worth the effort, so I'd just mention it, and unfortunately I was already halfway done typing this sentence when I realized typing -about- it would have been more work than just typing it, so I figured I might as well finish it.

Anyways thankfully I have some aloe gel. Down in florida where the other half of my family lives, when we got sunburnt we'd literally go into the yard and cut some aloe leaves. The plants grew everywhere down there and the gel right out of the leaves (they're REALLY fleshy) feels a heck of a lot cooler than the bottled processed stuff.

Yesss. Aloe right off the plant does wonders. We used to have an aloe plant growing in our house for that purpose. But we cut the poor thing down to nothing, it seemed. :/

Anyway, yes. Sunburn is most definitely in the "royally sucks" zone. But aloe is oh-so-soothing.

Hopefully wherever you got it, you weren't peeling too badly. That's always a bit embarrassing.

there is actually something better that the aloe, believe it or not, is a cream called SOLARCAINE, that is numbs your skin so you don't feel the pain, and at the same time it regenerates your skin, dunno why I know this since I don't use solar block anymore (5 years living in Pto Vallarta now)...!! :S

    Your sig sells that post.

I remember being sunburned when I went to the beach in Cali. my elbows were burnt too so I was nicknamed C3PO because I wouldn't bend them.

Sorry, we are trying on setting up deals with Jiffy right now, but as of yet they have not responded. We will try to get fatty sugary peanut butter in our health shop as soon as possible! Until then, feel free to stop in for products similar to Peanut Butter.

Just looked up the information - you're right. I thought it was more sugary, but it's only 3g of sugar per 2 tablespoons. I apologize for the inconvenience.

I was born brown, and I can't really get sunburns. I just get tans. REALLY intense tans.

I had used aloe once, for a sunburn, and it was really nice.

That's funny, because I just got the worst sunburn while canoeing on the Buffalo River on Saturday. It covered half of my leg because I didn't put enough sunscreen on it.
