Nintendo should have a democratic program something like that this means that people explain their ideas by email, images or videos so Nintend could hear & use peoples ideas to make new products, give new features, new games and things like that, which people will really enjoy and People will also have considered Nintendo as a good choice, those things would really be worth the money. So if they like your idea they can buy it from you or make an agreement you IDK something like that. Whats your opinion about it?

Brilliant idea. Why democracy at all, though? Nintendo should simply be forced turn every little idea, paragraph of text or picture into a game. After all they have all the money in the world and the games this process would produce would sell like hotcakes because everyone in the world totally wants to play that idea you had this morning for that-one-game-that-would-be-totally-cool.

Who needs marketing and demographics at all? Am I right?

Better yet, let someone from GBAtemp become Vice-President of nintendo (SOMEONE LIKE YOU?? : D ) and tell them what games to make, because every company has a guy who decides on what games get made all by himself.

F-, come see me after class.
wait a minute are you being totally sarcastic or you really men all that at all?

Ever since they made the Wii they don't care about gamers. They care about money. That's why they constantly license any piece of low quality made-in-a-week shovelware comes there way, because a vast amount of idiots will buy it and the Big N will get a cut from it. Maybe they'll introduce some type of suggestion system, but only so they can respond with "We'll consider it" and then give gamers some false sense of relief.
Yeah you are totally right, and the "We'll consider it" is tipical in many companies is just a stupid bureaucraZy they all have in common

It'd never work. Nintendo would have to employ ten times as many people just to sift through the thousands and thousands of suggestions they received each day. To be able to afford this huge increase in staff they would have to release nothing but "low quality made-in-a-week shovelware because a vast amount of idiots will buy it" just to make ends meet.

A second problem with your idea is that should Nintendo follow it, 98% of their games would feature Pirates/Ninjas riding dinosaurs because that's what 98% of people would ask for.

Well we never know, they could have a trivia with things that people like, things that should be on a game, things to avoid you get me?

lol. Concerning Robert Pelloni, Nintendo had very little reason to publish his game. He could've been smarter and would actually get a game published. And now he's made a lot of people think these big corporations are evil.

Well, it's a business. And naturally you would want to make a profit. Little girls are bought all these crappy DS and Wii games, and being young they enjoy it, the same way I enjoyed retarded little toys when I was young. And Nintendo makes an effort to please actual gamers, too. They really are just trying their best to have the biggest audience possible and make a good profit. Nothing evil about that. And they let established developers sell their own stuff too, regardless of size. (Like World of Goo.)

And someone said something about Nintendo not doing well? or something similar? Maybe in some dramatic fans' eyes(I've been given lots of games to look forward to, so I'm happy), but statistcally, that's very wrong.

they really need some help because they are getting old and WE(GBAtempers) could help very much because they are forgetting about the good fundamentals of a game, they are losing ability already

The only help they need is for gamers to buy the games that these so called "core gamers" want. If those games sell, Nintendo will make them. They don't sell, Nintendo make more Wii Fit because they do sell.

The end of all unnecessary shovelware in the US and Europe (nobody with a brain really wants this stuff), but that not all I also want the end of all those unnecessary quiz games in Japan and stick with the few language learning games which are an asset. It's alright to sell Wii Fit and other casual but suitable games for a quick buck but the Horsez, Ponyz, and non-essential quiz games are unacceptable and should never see the light of day anywhere on Earth. The only things that are acceptable shovelware are those fail Disney Singstar and Hannah Montana crud which do sell, make some sense, and actually have an audience.

I not talking about Nintendo around the world I'm specifically talking about Nintendo in the US because I know that the guys from Nintendo in japan are totally different they know what games are and they really love to do games.

I'm totally agree with you that's who is supposed to be not letting worthless crap around the market.

yeah for what all of you have commented I guest that Nintendo really need some changes and BTW everytime you buy a game from them they ask you some questions so they can give you points, this is something what I would like them to have but with things to make a game not to give feedback about a game.

most of the companys i see don't even say "we'll consider it" they just say "thanks for your suggestion"

I don't really care about if I get to ask Nintendo to make a game or not. I just want them to stop making shovelware like personal walking trainer... u wish!!!

^^what he/she said

Some of the games that nintendo didn't expect to become big are huge like treasure world and Jump ultimate stars (that game needs an official translation)

I'm sorry if this is off topic but just to clarify, you guys do know the only purpose of running a business is to profit from it? And to claim that's all they're after is unjust b/c they do try to appeal to the mass. Just to help defend nintendo from all you thrashers who probably just want an excuse to pirate

alidsl, J!US will never have an official translation, it's LEGALLY impossible. All the franchises are owned by different companies in the US, and I cannot see them working together to bring out a game.

As to the topic... Nintendo are a company. Their purpose is to make people buy their products. Stuff like suggestion programs and focus groups serve 2 purposes; 1. To get feedback as to what will sell and 2. To make the consumer feel like they have input into the company.
The only people who have input into what a company will do are people IN the company, usually quite high up, and the shareholders.

Thank you for attending Business Class 101. Next week, why people are stupid for saying MacDonalds tastes bad. People, it's engineered to taste good. Something is clearly wrong with you.
