I had the same suggestion once

basically I just bought a new nintendo DS and wanted to do fun things with the wii and DS, and was disappointed the nintendo channel didnt work anymore

I believe it may be possible, and many demos have been dumped - if someone is looking for a new wii homebrew project this would be a good one, and something untapped so far, as far as homebrew apps go

its a really cool connectivity feature with the systems thats being laid dormant

nope
i mean like send the demos to a ds with pc

do I need special transmitters or whatnot, how would I do this?

I would still prefer a more direct wii to DS kind of functionality (its something thats within both systems anyway), but I would like to know about this thing too

As we all know, the Wii could send DS demos Natively using the Nintendo Channel. I wonder if we can reverse engineer it for the wii send demos again... (or get the nintendo channel back, that's fine too)

the riiconnect thing seems pretty interesting for getting the nintendo channel operational, however in such a setup youd only be able to get the nintendo DS demos the riiconnect team puts up

it would be cool if there was a little (barebones) app where you can put on any DS demo rom you please in a certain folder, and then when you select that file it will search and transfer over from your wii to DS

it seems like it could be simple, but I dont know really

I hate ordering stuff online if I can go buy it somewhere close to me, and everywhere anymore will give you a discount only if you order it online, bs. Should be a discount if I go pick it up, not order online.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I love it for most things most stores you just shows the receipt online and they scan it

Makes it easy for incompetent restaurant staff that don't know how to hear an order
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Mostly for big purchases, I want it in my hands before I pay. Like a tv, I trust picking it up myself, before I'd trust it being sent thru mail/delivery. (Broken screen, etc) But yea if I can order online, then pickup at store is ok, but not all places offer that.

Thing is, if you break it driving back to your house, it's your fault. But if the delivery driver damages it, it's not your fault.

Most people that haul big tvs have empty trucks or know enough not to set it face down
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Then I gotta send it back and wait another week or two. I have a pickup truck, with a extended cab, so no prob for me.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Most manufacturers pack it well enough where they aren't that dumb to let it happen

They building a new Microcenter store near by me, is kinda scary. That's my favorite place, I'm like a kid in a candy store there.
