What the heck do I do in the second sealed area in the library (Ring of Memories)?

I've run around for a long time and no dice but I did find a scholar in there who said there was an exit that he could not find.

Any insight is appreciated!

go to that scholar and examine the wall in front of him.

it says that something about this wall seems strange and i'm not sure what to do about it

go back and talk to telaphasus (sp? xD) then go to that place
think you need to talk to him after each book.

he just tells me to come back once i've found the book to go to the next floor

you found the 1st book right? if its the 2nd book then...
directions from start from the telephphph~~ guy.
go through next area and down the stairs.
1st floor. then go right... then go south. you should see some bookcases in the middles. (a chest at the right side of the room) the single bookcase by the steps in the middle of room, examine it. it'll open a floor jump down. go up through the door and you should find the 2nd boook.
after that go left and examine the bookcase right in front of you, it should move. then examine the one blocking your way. then make your way back up to telephathingy guy.

ok i don't understand or i missed something...

here's where i am exactly:

first floor of the library is clear, so i go down to the second one.

right away south of me is a chest in front of some shelves. then i can go right a little (1 screen or so) and have a choice to go right or up

when i go up i see a lone chest inside a box of shelves and a chest above that that i can access. the room down this path is where the scholar is.

if i go right it brings me to a room that lets me walk right a little and then it has a section of the room walled off completely with shelves.

the directions iv given is on the 1st flooor.
