Every so often Sonic likes to bring out a new float style. They've really been toying around with slush/ice cream combos which you can't deny they have some of the best fast food related ice cream in America. Although can be brain freeze city it's a good idea. The Slush helps the ice cream from melting in hot days. So I thought this one would be interesting to try for $2.99 it's not an awful deal for the size and amount you get.
The sugar crystal on the top are a bit too much, why add extra sugar to ice cream? Because America I guess. They add a crunchy value but just aren't needed.
The Slush part it's self is decent with a artificial strawberry syrup which is what you expect in a slush. They add a good amount of ice cream making it half and half value. I enjoy eating most the ice cream then mix the rest together. I would've enjoyed it more if it actually had some type of sponge cake added in the middle which is what a strawberry Shortcake is. Why call it a shortcake and add no cake?
Overall it's not bad. But I'd give it a 6/10 had better from sonic.
