Gordon Freeman in the flesh. Or rather, in the Playstation 3 port. I took the liberty of relieving you of your PS3 store; most of them were Sony's property. As for the port, I think you’ve earned it. Given the current status of my Quake 3 ports, which I'm feeling satisfied so far (although there's still a lot of stuff that I'd really, really like to implement), my next project was a XASH3D FWGS port for the Playstation 3. Compared to my previous port, I decided to make a thread about its current status, what's left and when the first release will be. Whereas with my previous Q3 ports I would make a thread as soon as I got a playable build. Was AI used in this project? Yes, AI was used to assist me in coding. All the testing and the debugging sessions were done by me on real hardware following a strict goal-based roadmap. I also got some of the pieces fully working thanks to my previous Quake 3 port. And this brings us back to: HOW TO INSTALL: Place your valve (Half Life), gearbox (Opposing Force) or bshift (Blue Shift) inside /dev_hdd0/data/xash3dfwgs/ be sure to delete the cfg files. The game will create them automatically on boot. Latest release Current status: Half Life 1, Opposing Force and Blue Shift are playable. It's gonna use the default Gamepad layout available on Steam Crossplay with other XASH3D FWGS clients is supported TO DO: Bugfixes TFC/CS1.6 support Test the Opposing Force multiplayer side a bit more KNOWN BUGS: Torch/night vision don't work properly in non-dark areas. It doesn't affect the gameplay at all however. In Opposing Force the ropes would make the framerate drop from 60 to 52. FAQ: I put the valve folder inside /dev_hdd0/data/xash3dfwgs/ but the game crashes on boot, why? Be sure to rename it xash3dfwgs in lowercase. It's case sensitive. The game loads but my character can only move and look around! Remove the controller and config cfg files before launching the game. How do I use the console? You select the Console line in the menu, hit Triangle to open the OSK and hit CROSS to send the cvar. "Can you port x?" No. At the moment my main focus is to port Counter Strike 1.6, Team Fortress Classic and focus back on my Quake 3 ports. I do have other projects I am currently laying my eyes on but I'm not even at the briefing phase for each, let alone if I'm even able to tackle on them. I'm having issues when loading the game Check your files. The build(s) is(are) confirmed to work with the Steam release of those games. It has unintended behavior with copies you obtained god-knows-where. I copied my files and there's no text in the main menus, how do I fix it? See previous question. Just to rule some things out from the start:

- I have all the needed BIOS files as listed in the documentation on libretro.com
- Fresh install from the PKG on libretro.com. I have NOT updated any of the cores with the online updater (which can sometimes be broken).
- I have properly-formatted playlists and all of my zip files were tested with the testing utility in 7-zip.

The strange thing is that with the exact same playlists and ROMs on two different systems, only one system reads the zipped files fine while the other doesn't. This only happens in certain cores (Beetle SX and Genesis Plus GX). I remember seeing someone say that zip support is included as part of one of the cores or something. Is this true?

Everything runs fine unzipped. I'm just trying to make heads or tails of why some cores have zip support and some don't, and why this varies somehow with installs on different systems. Is there a specific file that handles this or what?
