Gaming Strange Audio trouble with PC

Hello.
My mom has her own PC, and it has a strange problem. She would be watching Youtube or any other video, when suddenly her sound disappears. It just abruptly stops. It's very strange,
She has her PC connected through an HDMI cable to her Sony Bravia TV, so the sound comes out of the TV.
Can anyone help? Thanks.

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 840 3.2GHz
Motherboard: Asus M5A88-EVO
RAM: Dual Channel DDR3 4GB Kingston
