    Stompin Tom Conners, Canada's most well known singer of folk songs involving Potatos and the places he visited, Has died yesterday of "Natural causes According to CTV News. Below is a letter he wrote to his fans to be released after his death:

    Connors is survived by his wife Lena, two sons, and two daughters.

    A “celebration of Tom’s life” is being planned for March 13 in Peterborough, Ont., at the Peterborough Memorial Centre. The event will be open to the public.

    For people that know, he's the one who sang this song



    It's a pretty famous hockey song played for Hockey Night in Canada on CBC. He was really pro canadian. He thought the Juno awards should only stay in Canada, so if you were born Canadian and you made it big when you moved to the states, he doesn't think that's right.

    Certainly one of Canada's finest, even if he was only known for the Hockey Song. Sad to see him go, one of the most die hard hockey fan's outside of the game without a doubt.
