Hacking Sticker Star on CFW?

I tried running the JP version of Sticker Star on a US 3DS with Luma locale emulation but it crashes, just like other people here tried to run an out of region Sticker Star on their 3DS. Luigi's Mansion JP goes to a black screen on bootup on my US 3DS, and locale emulation makes no difference.

I've tried 2 different .cia's of Paper Mario Sticker Star on my rxTools EmuNand and both of them have returned an error. So my question is does Sticker Star actually work on CFW? Or are we only able to use it through flashcarts?

there's no reason why it shouldn't but in all honesty why in hell are you trying this hard to play sticker star
I legit own the thing, only played it once for like ten minutes as a kid, and still do not get why I found those ten minutes at all enjoyable.
a turn based rpg where you can run out of your ONLY attack method is just wrong.
