As yall know, Atmos a free CFW has constant updates and all and seems really good and all.
However I purely use EmuNAND and my SysNAND has been restored to a clean state. (I can go online).
However, I'm not banned at the moment and have remained cautious which is why I went to EmuNAND.
However Atmosphere is good for great homebrew support and all, however I really want to play NSP's using atmosphere. One day I want to go online so I will have to restored my Nintendo Switch. So should I switch? Btw my switch is on the latest update with a NNID linked.
I have a NAND backup of 6.2.0. (So yea I am going to have to use AutoRCM if i want to downgrade, then upgrade then create a CLEAN (without NNID) copy of my 7.0.1 Switch FW). (Only If I am willing to go online in the future and/or maybe use a different NNID).

ALSO, If lets say I go online and use 90DNS. Will it flag me for having faketickets installed? Lets say I use Switch LAN play also for using online? What are the chances?

I have EmuNAND and a restored SysNAND like I said and seems I have not been flagged at the moment.

Having good DNS won't flag you (but being totally offline is simply safer)
It really depends on you. If all the games you want to play now work on your EmuNAND, stick with it for now.
If you are going to restore your NAND anyways, there is no reason why not to use atmo.

I would definitely update to 7.0.1 and use atmo. Because you can have autoRCM and it will still shutdown properly. And you can repurpose your SD dongle (if you got one) to load atmo via it.

I am on 7.0.1 and then I checked to go online which was a success. However, I did need to Link my NNID. Anyway to Unlink it?
Also what about the faketicket system of playing NSP's? Any way to prevent that or just stick to backup and restore to remove the tickets?

Wait AutoRCM Proper shutdown? Meaning I can boot in SysNAND any way I want like if I just want to go into SysNAND, I wont have to go to Hekate and press boot Stock?

you need fake tickets to use unowned nsps.
You want a linked account because some games require it.

If you wanna shift I'm working on a guide that will make it as easy as possible.

It should be "Your local TX Fanboy"
It's on my signature. I did indeed used to use SX OS. Up to 2.0!

Sure (The irony below your name and says used to use SX OS. LOL).
I used to use SX OS but I've moved to Atmosphere.

No, you should not switch yet. Switching now would put your Switch in danger of being banned seeing that there still is no emunand on atmosphere and seeing that you care about online play. You cam switch as soon as Atmosphere has emunand.

No?

Just because EmuNAND isn't there doesn't mean you'll get an automatic ban. Atmosphere actually has features to prevent a ban. Just use 90DNS when you switch and you should be good to go.

Please tell me where in my post I said “you get an automatic ban”. As always on the internet, people don’t read properly and jump to conclusions, and you’re one of them.

By danger of being banned I mean messing with sysNAND. Since Atmosphere doesn’t support emunand yet, you have to mess your sysnand to use it. This means that whenever you make a connection to Ninty’s servers, be it by accident, by your stupidity or on purpose, you will be banned. Plus OP obviously cares about online play so his only choice, should he decide to switch to atmo now, is to restore his NAND every time he wants to play. If one has learned anything from the homebrew scene this last decade, it is that that process itself is dangerous. He may also lose his NAND backups in which case he is screwed beyond recovery.

All that can be avoided with a fucking emunand. So yeah, if you ask me if you put your Switch in unnecessary danger if you switch to an emunandless solution now, it’s definitely a thousand times yes.

Isn't there an option in the SX OS settings to disable EmuNAND? Pretty sure if you disable it, make a NAND backup then switch over you should be fine.

Essasetic, you missed the entire point of the OP remaining on emuNAND.
Not necessarily. He's willing to switch. Hekate does have options for OFW and CFW that he can easily use as a temporary replacement until Atmosphere gets EmuNAND.

But I'd suggest he hold off for now anyway. If it works for him then there's no point in changing until EmuNAND comes out for Atmosphere anyway.
