Gaming Steam Down

Steam is giving me a no connection at the bottom, anyone else have this problem.

Also earlier it was giving me this error:

This sucks, I actually was about to trade some stuff for DotA 2 beta from a friend.

I've never seen Steam go down for more than 5 minutes.
Wonder what the happened.

Thought this never happened to steam, or at least that's the impression I got from all the people raging when origin when down.

You can still launch most games fine even like this, but obviously TF2/MW3/Anything using VAC or Valve's servers will not work online.

Well, yeah it pretty much never happens. I've been using Steam for years upon years and I gotta say this is the first time i've noticed it go down for an extended period of time.

well i spoke too soon, half my friends are playing games just fine on my friends list, but my games refuse to load (must be a cloud syncing issue), at least everything else is fine.

Uninterrupted power got interrupted. Valve phail.

That was the second longest downtime I've ever experienced with Steam. It's up now though, so all is well.

yeah ... quite ironic when you read that statement

im back as well, but my freinds list dies from time to time, and my games still don't load

Store and everything else is fine now though.
