ROM Hack StarFox Command (U) D-Pad hack

I know this hack been out for a while but is there any works on having barrel rolling mapped to a button?

I tried a few times to track down all the addresses in memory that get set properly to trigger a barrel roll, u turn but there were so many changes in ram that it was hard to determine what was needed and when. I will take another look when I get some free time.

I am having a problem with it. Im on R4, I have everything patched, but when i play the game, even in training, the d pad only shoots.

Any insight on what im doing wrong?

HELP! i get a white screen on my CycloDS Evo.

is there some problem with CYCLO that can be fixed.

To both posted problems: Use the AR codes with the built-in cheat engine and hopefully that will correct the problems. Both carts may be corrupting the patched area of the game with their own patching system.

i got the latest cheatcode database on my CycloDS Evo,
But now it still crashes white screen when i exit to main menu!

also:

there is a code called "This code must be on". if i deselect it
then later exit to main menu, it shuts off the D-Pad hack.

i manually inputted the first AR code from the original post to make sure.
(i used evotools.) i also tried it on R4 and it worked fine, so it must be CYCLO DS Only.

i recall something in the Cyclo manual about Auto Patching problem games.
could that have something to do with it?

I'm pretty sure what is happening is that the patching system for the Evolution is trying to use the same space in RAM that I have the cheat code copying the handler into. Try the code without the last 9 lines and if it still white screens then this is the reason why and I can give you some codes with other areas of memory to try.

It seems they're pretty strick about how codes are submitted and accepted into the database.

ok, i deleted the last 9 lines (18 sets of numbers), and it still white screens only when you exit to main menu. (code does not work with lines deleted)

its not really a huge deal because the main game works, but i dont know if it will crash halfway through or what. and it Is a pain to have to enable codes every time and restart the DS to play multiplayer.

I guess you missed the closed notification on that thread you linked to, good job dude! I would submit it but if you had bothered to look at my link you would see that it's coders submitting their own code. Like I said they are strict about submissions, it's not my place to submit someone elses work. If cracker wants to submit it then great, if he doesn't, then oh well! Look at my post as merely a suggestion since in the end it's his hack to do with as he pleases.

hi, sorry for bumping old thread, but V4 is STILL not in the cheat database yet. can somebody please request that the new v4 of this hack be submitted into the official cheat database. im a noob and wouldent know how to do it.

i used "DS Scene Rom Tool" today, June 2013!, and these hacks still are missing. again, sorry for bumping old thread but its rather annoying having to re-input these AR codes every time a new cheat database is released.

also the (HEROES OF MANA D-Pad hack for Leftys) is not in the cheat database yet either.

but good news, it looks like the zelda phantom hourglass D-Pad hack is allready there,

Nice addition. You should really put it in a new thread though so it will be easily seen by more people though.

I have no idea who maintains the cheat dbs nowadays. I know I was working on a tool to combine dbs without losing or duping codes but I forget how far I got. I will try to find my work on that...

yeah, i now download the latest database with a program called DS-Scene_Rom_Tool_v1.0_build_1205_Pack. it automatically downloads latest database. it says its maintained by www.ds-scene.net

Hey great hack, but i do have one problem with it though, i'm using desmume (because ideas and no$gba aren't all that great) and the dpad movement works but the breaking and boost doesn't, is there a way to fix this or do i have to use another emulator?

Apologies for the necro-post in advance, but I'm with Dr3gan, this hack simply does not work on DeSmuMe--the d-pad functionality works, but the breaking and boost features are broken. Hopefully Cracker can maybe return to this hack and help us emulator-users out? Neither the AR codes nor the patch provided any reasonable success for me. Tried to email Cracker about this, but no response.
