Gaming Star Wars Battlefront 2 Patching problems

Hi!

So me and some friends want to play LAN on SW:BF2, however the game crashes everytime we try to make a LAN Server.

I browsed the internet a little and found out that I have to patch the game to 1.1 to get the LAN working. I tried to download two different patches, but they only say "This version is not compatible...blah" and "Can't find Battlefront 2". I think the patch can't find the game since we just downloaded a already extracted game from the internet, which then messes up the registry thing.

Thats why I hoped anyone with the game installed could take a look at the registry (regedit in Run) and see if they could find what I should add for the patcher to find BF2.
