How much more powerful is switch 2 compared to switch 1, just a thought here that may take years to see but if switch 2 does get hacked, what are the chances that a switch 2 emulator gets made for switch. Switch is doing pretty good right now with Wii and GameCube. There is also ps2 still being tested and updated. You know the switch is still making games and some of those switch 2 exclusives don’t really look special especially if they are not using switch 2 features.

Switch 2 is just powerful as PS4 for undocked and powerful as PS4 Pro for docked, also it has more RAM too.

Are you really saying that you want a Switch 2 emulator to run on a Switch?

That's like asking for a PS5 emulator to run on a PS4.

Just because the Switch 1 and Switch 2 have basically the same form factor doesn't mean they are comparable at all. They are extremely different in power.

If you are not a pre-teen, you should be embarrassed by this question, and not just about the emulation part. I mean if you can't tell the difference in graphical fidelity between S1 and S2...

The DRM on Switch 2 games would have to be cracked first and it require very major work to get run on Switch 1 that is extremely difficult and nonstarter. Decomplication? That's much longer.

You are more likely enter the retirement age with Medicare rather than get Switch 2 games run on Switch 1 emulator.

The switch 1 only allows up to 3GB ram to software, the OS taking the remaining 1GB. Switch 2 allows up to 9GB ram to software. This already makes it impossible to create a switch 2 emulator for switch 1, because no Switch 2 exclusive game will use less that 4GB of ram.
Even early third party games that have cel shading with simple 3d models like Rune Factory Azuma recommends 16GB of ram on desktop. How do you think it would run on the switch 1?

The amount of copium in this thread is just insane. It has been only a year since the console released, and people are already expecting exploits?

We're most likely getting a coldboot softmod exploit for Switch 1 before Switch 2 gets anything, and we didn't get a coldboot softmod for the entirety of 9 years since release of that console.

Switch 2 is just powerful as PS4 for undocked and powerful as PS4 Pro for docked, also it has more RAM too.

THat's fairly accurate, though given what it can do with DLSS and Raycasting too, in docked mode it's more on par (locked at 30fps mind you) with a PS5 which is absurd given the hardware, but that's where it kind of is and that's not a bad thing. That added ram helps the fact with that too as the system has some interesting design choices at cost vs performance with a strange wildcard in there. The fact you can run s fairly lower resolution but crank it up to a high one using DLSS is a hell of a cheat with a very low resource ask for it vs what is put before you.
