Someone said if you unplug the usb-hdd before format the sysNAND the games still works in redNAND. I don't know how that men do that but it's a bullshit. I unplugged it formatted my sysNAND and the usb hdd won't show up in redNAND too.

Before the unlink were you able to see them on both Rednand and sysnand ?

That is weird, considering Rednand is a perfect copy of the sysnand you should be able to see your game on both of them.

Yes i saw them in redNAND. But of course that games used the brazilian ticket except the mk8 dlc which i bought but thats not showing up either.

That is weird sysnand format shouldn't delete the titles on rednand.

Anyone ???

Unfortunately, upon formatting sysNAND, all drives linked to that Wii U will no longer work.
You will have to reformat your HDD to use it again.

Of course if you format your sysnand games are gone and disc is gone

But they should still be available on REDNAND and the disc avalable in REDNAND as well isn it ?

OMG! People saying to format SysNAND and others are saying not to! I don't want to have to reinstall (and re-download) all my games again! I had all the games on my Windows laptop but then the other day, the power brick decided to not work anymore

Not for me either. The steps I do :

- Create redNAND and install game on it.
- format sysNAND without external drive plug
- boot on redNAND : no game available
- I have to format external drive in redNAND system config to use it.
- I have install game Hyrule Warriors with Brazillian method on redNAND, but it appears in sysNAND too....

It is normal? NAND are unlinked? If not, what I did wrong?

just for reference...how long did it take to dump NAND? I'm on an 8GB Wii U and I think it's been about 2 hours now? It's current at 0001BB00 right now (out of 000400000)

for you it's normal !!

You installed games on REDNAND before unlinking !!

Games were installed on both sysnand and rednand on the same folder.

Once you formated synand : rednand and sysnand games = gone

The correct method is :

install games on sysnand.
create rednand.
format sysnand.

games should be gone from sysnand but still on rednand.

it can be as long as 9 hours

LUCKY! I'm on an 8GB system, using a Class 10 card and taking FOREVER! I have nothing on vWii (never even BOOTED the vWii part)...only 4 games on the internal memory (2 are VC games)
lmao this has nothing to do with luck and having things installed

Hum... that's what I done. Before create redNAND, I had already games installed on sysNAND which worked on redNAND too. I installed a new game on redNAND and do the steps above.

EDIT : I forget to say : games are installed to external drive... did it change something?

We need to make it clear.
Maybe we must not disconnect the disc before formating sysnand.

Anyone ?

Okay i got this. If you install directly to sysNAND that will work on redNAND too but if you installed to an usb drive that will not work on redNAND.

Hello, a little question that I don't have found the answer : Can I move to redNand games previously installed on sysNand via WupInstaller (without losting datas on the HDD ) ? Thanks :)

Never mind, just have my answer above :)

hf bricking

Why should it brick? The worst case that can happen is that the EmuNAND bricks, the SysNAND should be fine because all of the NAND Reads and Writes are Redirected to the SD Card instead of the NAND.

The Only thing is that i cannot Update the RedNAND if an update comes out but all other functions should be fine.
