Homebrew SSL MITM on Wii U without messing with NAND?

The question is in the title. Is that possible? I saw a tutorial on this forum but it involved messing with WiiU's NAND and replacing certificates. I'm a very paranoid person so I don't even want to mess with NAND because I think I may brick and I don't even have CBHC installed. Any solution/
 
Can't be done. If you want to avoid a brick, install CBHC - even if you stuff up the MiTM and brick your console, you can pretty trivially fix it if and only if you have CBHC installed.
I wrote a tutorial a while ago that covers the same process - might be a little easier to read, I don't really remember. It's aimed at Miiverse but it should be pretty easy to use for something else. Link here.
